Creative workshops for seniors

Creative classes addressed especially to seniors are returning to our Shopping Centre! The next meeting is on Saturday, January 25th. We invite you from 12:00 to 17:00 to our passage.

This is a unique opportunity to spend time in a pleasant atmosphere, meet new people with similar interests and discover your passion for creating art.

We create three-dimensional paintings

During the January meeting, structural paintings will be created. This is a type of work on which you can see layers and a three-dimensional texture. This effect can be achieved by sticking decorative elements on canvas and painting them with acrylic paints.

The subject matter of the works depends on the creativity of the creators. Therefore, you can create landscapes that reflect the beauty of nature, multi-coloured abstractions or portraits.

Participation in creative classes for seniors is free of charge, and all the art materials needed to complete the work will be available on site.

The Municipal Cultural Centre in Rumia has prepared an additional creative proposal for seniors. Every month, during the “Active and Creative Senior” meetings, you will be able to learn or refresh your memory about basic crochet stitches and make a colourful square from yarn. At the end of the year, the elements will be connected, and a multi-coloured, exceptionally decorative Christmas tree will be created from them.
